The event, which took place from 20 to 22 September in the captivating post-industrial location La Nave in Madrid, has been confirmed once more as a reference commercial platform for Spain’s footwear industry with almost 3 thousand professional visitors (+2% in comparison with the previous edition), and 112 participating brands, which have presented their new collections for the Spring-Summer 2020 season and re-stockings for the Autumn-Winter 2019/20 season. Special attention has been paid to the quality and innovative content of the presented products and of the companies involved, but also to internationalization. In order to increase the presence of foreign buyers, the organizers have renewed the programme of guest buyers which was realized in collaboration with ICEX and with the support of FICE (Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries), which has attracted 27 representatives of important international chains to the fair, along with 127 foreign visitors. As for companies, there were 18 foreign exhibitors from Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, France, China, Italy, Portugal and Turkey. Once more, commercial activity has been integrated with an interesting programme of conferences and presentations that has captured the attention of visitors thanks to the analysis of central themes for the sector, among which the impact of digitalization, online sales, the developments of technology, sustainability and the most effective selling strategies in points of sale must be mentioned.
