Claudia Sequi, da poco eletta alla presidenza di Assopellettieri

The trade shows dedicated to fashion and accessories that took place last September at Fieramilano (Rho) ended recording excellent results. MICAM Milano, MIPEL, The One Milano and HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition, were visited by 42,273 professional operators (+21% over the September 2022 edition) from 129 countries. The shows mainly intercepted the strong dynamism of foreign buyers. In particular, buyers from Spain, France and Germany were seen; on the non-EU front, great return of China and confirmations from Japan and North America, both Canada and the US.

There were 2,000 brands presenting their collections for spring summer 2024, focusing particularly on quality and sustainability. Young people, the lifeblood of constantly evolving sectors, were once again protagonists of all the events thanks to dedicated initiatives and special areas.

As always, there was no shortage of opportunities to meet and discuss topics such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, and new production techniques while also thinking about future developments in the retail world.

Claudia Sequi, recently elected to the presidency of Assopellettieri, summarized the performance of the events as follows: “We saw an incoming of higher quality, with a decrease in Italians and an increase in foreigners, a fundamental fact for companies in our sector.”
