Born from the partnership between MICAM and Informa Markets, international trade fair player that has over 550 B2B events connected to the industries of different sectors in its portfolio, MICAM Americas will replace FN Platform, becoming the biggest event dedicated to footwear in the USA.
Announcing it is Siro Badon, President of Assocalzaturfici and MICAM, on Wednesday 12 February, during the press conference held to present MICAM.
MICAM Americas will be held at the Convention Center in Las Vegas in conjunction with Magic and Project, the most important event dedicated to fashion in the United States, offering international members of the trade a never-before-seen opportunity for business and training. “MICAM will give life, together with Magic, to a new business opportunity, thanks to the organisational experience of two great and already established exhibitions – declared Siro Badon – For this reason, we are happy to extend the MICAM brand, through the creation of MICAM Americas and the partnership with Informa Markets, so we can meet up with the United States fashion community”.
The potential opportunities offered up by the new event are also interesting for Italian producers who would like to approach this market: “For Made in Italy footwear manufacturers – added Siro Badon – the USA represents the sector’s fourth export destination, and during the first ten months of 2019, they registered constant growth in value (+11%) and in average price (+14%), with over 12.3 million pairs exported to this country”.
