Desigual’s SS16 season is dominated by the sandal, both sporty, with ankle strap and anatomic sole, and with serrated heel and sole.

In SS16 the brand updates shapes, models, materials and details, remaining true to the Desigual spirit, in order to obtain a fruitful “dialogue” among motives, color and design. The materials become interlaced and merge in a matchless way, giving each item a unique personality. Jute, mesh, neoprene, woven and metalized laminated revitalize the season mixing three kinds of fabric for each model.

The women’s collection proposes shoes whose new shapes include different heel heights and a wide choice of motives applied with different intensities, from the total look to the strategic positioning and the application with brush strokes or to the engraving on a mooth sole with a flock effect, a great novelty of the 2016 season. The sandal, dominator of the summer, shows all its possibilities: from the sporty version, with ankle strap and anatomic sole, to the one with serrated heel and sole and the lively Marilyn model, that is all the rage in the summer parties thanks to its almost 10 centimeters heel.

The new espadrilles with jute sole evoke the hedonism of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Finally, the new version of the bio model, flat and criss-cross, that in this season presents also a version with molded wedge and serrated sole. The models for him and for younger girls propose a relaxed style. The blue of Barcelona’s sea as symbolic color of the season with material patches on body, soles and laces, and with the inside lined with tone on tone motives. Three models are the protagonists: oxford shoes, versatile sneakers and espadrilles that mix denim, light sailcloth and the unmistakable Desigual motive of the “Manolos”. For Desigual girls the shoes are full of fun, with flower or abstract motives with green, blue and rose tones, very fresh and applied on a solid color bottom, a great novelty.
