The four days of theMICAM to be held from 12 to 15 February at Fiera Milano, promises to be a memorable edition, rich in new contents and opportunities for business.

In terms of proposals, theMICAM reinforces the core business of the event, presenting a Luxury area that has been renewed in its selection, with a greater focus on fashion that will see the debut of the Fashion Square and two other special areas: the first is a new area dedicated to professional training and the latter is a temporary Barber shop realized in collaboration with Proraso. Completing the Luxury offer, is the doubling of the areas dedicated to international creativity and, next to the International Designers’ Area, the brand new Emerging Designers’ Area makes its debut, featuring the collections of emerging talents in the world of footwear.

ikidMoreover, the I-KIDS hall will take the re-launching project kicked off at the last edition of theMICAM one step further, with the debut of the iKIDSQUARE, which will host a program of fashion shows and trend seminars specifically dedicated to children’s footwear.

That’s not all. Even theMICAM Lounge, which welcomes international buyers to each new edition, will feature new spaces, with a renewed content and new location in the exhibition halls. Additionally, theMICAMSquare has been reconfirmed as a meeting place for the fair’s fashion community, hosting the regularly scheduled footwear fashion shows staged by the Rosemary Ferrari Studio and the trends and retail seminars staged by WGSN.themicamsquare

In terms of business, the expectations for this edition of theMICAM are quite high, thanks also to the greater level of dynamism characterizing the Russian market – an important end market for Made in Italy footwear – at the beginning of the international trade fair season dedicated to fashion. To intercept this recovery and to also meet up with strategic and emerging markets for Italian shoes, theMICAM will host a substantial delegation of foreign buyers in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and the ICE Agency.

Supporting the event will be a series of ad hoc services specifically created to make visiting the exhibition and doing business at the fair easier: from e-contacts, useful business instruments for registering visitors at the fair and providing back office support, to theMICAM app that provides information on exhibiting businesses and their products. There will also be internet and Wi-Fi points, a practical Touch Screen sign at the entrance to the halls, and for transportation, special agreements have been made with Trenitalia, along with shuttles to and from Milan. The universe of fashion footwear at theMICAM accordingly gets ready to express itself across-the-board, featuring fashion and glam, and business and communication.
