Some 10 years have passed since three Dutch youngsters, flying over the Atlantic towards Los Angeles, came up with the idea of founding Hub footwear. Starting with an office, two computers and a notepad they managed to produce the first 8,000 pairs of shoes. Two of them, Huub van Boeckel and Tim Rompa are former professional tennis players, which explains the influence of tennis shoes in creating Hub footwear.

Those with specific soles for coping with movement on earth or synthetic courts, as well as all the other models have been given sophisticated casual look that includes a distinctive feature: the iconic “Z” in orange thread, that stands for ?? the concept of connection with the whole world through the shoe. The latest arrival, included in the spring-summer 2015 collection, is the Hub/24, a vulcanized which offers all the comfort and performance of a traditional running shoe. It has been developed with an innovative footbed that helps blood circulation, a sole that supports the instep, a special shock absorbing gel, multi-layer tread that improves performance with ultra resistant rubber parts.

Hub/24 is a shoe designed to be worn in the greatest comfort from morning to night, which explains the “24”. A last detail: the sole features a road map of Scheveningen, where Hub grew up and became a national champion, actually competing for the Davis Cup.
