At the last edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, from 13 to 16 June in Florence, the Fondazione Pitti Discovery’s exhibition project ‘S|STYLE sustainable style’ returned for the seventh time, dedicated to a selection of brands committed to promoting sustainable practices, selected worldwide by journalist and curator Giorgia Cantarini. For the first time, the exhibition project saw the exclusive partnership with Kering Material Innovation Lab (Kering MIL), the Group’s in-house research centre established in Milan in 2013, and committed to reducing the overall environmental impact through the transition of all Kering Group brands towards a sustainable supply chain.

The ten brands selected to take part in S|STYLE sustainable style’ were: Cavia (Italy), Dalpaos (Italy), Dhruv Kapoor (India), Isnurh (Denmark), Jeanne Friot (France), Ksenia Schnaider (Ukraine), Olooh Concept (Ivory Coast), Permu (UK), Steven Passaro (France), Young n Sang (South Korea).

Each designer showed the trade audience solutions that benefit sustainable development: from upcycling, i.e. the technique of reworking an existing garment, to the use of fabrics certified to international standards. From giving back in favour of the planet, to the use of recycled materials and the promotion of fair/ethical work that supports craftsmanship.
