Thanks to the design and innovative vision of Edoardo Marziari, AENIGMA sees the futuristic and geometric transformation of the liberty design, which up until today enriched the SapafAtelier1954 collections. These are the origins of a collection of bags characterised by bold shapes that recall the magic of origami, bona fide works of art to be worn and discovered, with glossy variants matched with leathers of the finest quality and jewel accessories. “At a distance of fifty years, it’s as if a historic transformation was once again taking place in Sapaf” – comments Andrea Calistri. “It’s just like the twenty-year period between the end of 800 and beginning of 900, when the sinuous shapes of the Liberty style began disappearing, transforming themselves into the geometric lines of Abstract Art. After exactly one hundred years, history is repeating itself in Sapf: the hands of Edoardo Marziari, inspired by a geometric wall and by a mould randomly found in the historic archives of Sapaf, have imagined the transformation of our liberty motif into a pure and abstract geometric design”.
