OutDoor by ISPO 2023 once again wrote a success story after last year’s brilliant restart, confirming itself as the global platform for the outdoor industry and community. At 35,000 square metres, the MOC space, including the outdoor area, was completely sold out. Most of the growth came from abroad, especially from the US and China. As a result, the share of international exhibitors grew by 15 percentage points to a total of 83 per cent, making OutDoor by ISPO one of Messe München’s most international trade fairs. Exhibitor numbers increased from 310 in 2022 to 661 this year, with a 160 per cent increase in international exhibitors. The main exhibiting countries were China, Germany, the United States and Scandinavia. While on the visitor front, more than 9,000 trade visitors from 70 countries were present, including major European markets such as France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland, as well as the USA, Canada and Asia.

Protagonists were the latest trends, developments, concepts and innovations in the outdoor world, enriched by workshops and conferences. Also on the programme were the ISPO Award exhibition with its 34 award winners and the start-up exhibition with 17 new companies.
