The leading brand in the development and production of high-performance rubber soles presented the One Quarter, the lightweight and compact folding shoe, inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami, as a novelty at Fortezza da Basso in Florence. A folding shoe with a three-dimensional design, ideal for travelling and perfect to always carry with you, Vibram One Quarter breaks the mould and accepts the challenge of maintaining the high performance standards that characterise Vibram soles in ¼ of its total volume. The Vibram sole in Gumlite compound is equipped with Litebase technology, an innovative solution designed to reduce the weight of the sole by 30% through a 50% reduction in the thickness of the rubber bottom, while keeping the layout and the shape of the lugs unchanged, thus maintaining the same levels of performance. The result is a very light sole with the same characteristics of grip, traction, duration and wear resistance of a traditional Vibram sole. The upper, instead, is different for each model while the bamboo fibre present in the insole increases comfort and keeps the foot cool. The different Vibram One Quarter models are available on Vibram e-commerce and at the single-brand Vibram stores in Milan, Montebelluna and Boston.
