Among the names we’ll see at the fair will be included Dumont, Capodarte, Jorge Bischoff, Ferracini, West Coast, Kildare, Carrano, Suzana Santos, Beira Rio, Usaflex, Grendha…. just to name a few. A well-represented selection that gets ready for this edition of the event with high expectations, thanks to the depreciation of the real with regards to the dollar, and the signing of the free trade agreement between Mercosur and the EU. The expectation is also that of confirming, if not exceeding, the positive outcome of the last edition, when the 71 firms present generated a revenue of over 37 million dollars between the business done at the fair and the business set into motion during the event (according to the data supplied by Abicalçados).
At the same time, it is a good moment for Brazilian footwear on foreign markets: according to the data of SECEX- the Secretariat of Foreign Trade, Brazilian footwear exports between January and August 2019 arrived at a value of 644 million dollars, up +8.2% in volume and +2.5% in value compared to the same period of the previous year.
