In occasione of its anniversary, the MICAM platform is ready to bring a selection of over 2000 collections for the SS2020 together with the most important mid to high-end buyers and retailers worldwide. The edition dedicated to Beauty, the theme of the ad campaign inspired by Dante’s allegorical journey, will see an important new addition among its contents represented by the launching of a new area dedicated to athletic and outdoor footwear: the Players District. Located in Hall 7, the new area will present a preview of the most interesting innovations in the market with the participation of names of the calibre of Bjon Brg, CPM, Dolomite, Joma Sport, Lotto, Skechers, and many other brands… Visitors will have the chance to discover the models with the most visionary designs, either niche or mainstream, inspired by the performance of leading athletes in the world of sports. Players District will also host The Arena, where performers will be alternated with initiatives dedicated to giving shape to the by now global phenomenon of sneakers.
The new proposal completes the layout of the event that revolves around its main squares: in the heart of the Luxury area, with the most prestigious international footwear brands, the Fashion Square hosts the fashion catwalks, fashion seminars, and leading events. Always in the Luxury area, the Men’s Square with its Proraso barbershop will be flanked by designer proposals in men’s shoes and the Style Square, with its designer bar and live artistic performances that will shine the spotlight on the style of the brands located along its perimeter. In Hall 4, the IKidsquare will be renewed as an area of relaxation set up like a playground that turns the spotlight on the children’s collections. Finally, as far as the Contemporary section in Hall 4 is concerned, the FUN Square will return with its makeup & hairstyling stations, AI stations, and LED wall, while looking out over it will be the proposals of Emerging Designer, the area of international talents that returns to inspire visitors with its alternative collections.
MICAM will also host the fashion show of the finalist collections of the 26th edition of the International Lab of Mittelmoda - The Fashion Award
