“The brand with the circled A” started as a clothing store, became a social center, a punk record label and, most importantly, a factory where all creative people could find a way to express themselves.

The Acupuncture brand was born in the SOHO district of London, England, in 1993. Previously, it was a medieval clothing store run by punk culture lovers, offering mainly Westwood punk gear and medieval sports shoes. In 1993, Philip De Mesquita, a designer active in Camden Market (London’s premier retro market, the birthplace of punk style) took over the store and strengthened the business geared toward 1970s style sneakers. Verick Acupuncture was a place where London’s creative crowd gathered at that time, and it was also a witness to the popular culture of the 1990s, participating in London’s street trends and punk literature.
