The new Dirk Bikkembergs collection succeeds in being aggressive like a street bike and original as a catwalk item. Sport and fashion intermingle once again.

It is not by chance that the latest fashion show of the Dirk Bikkembergs brand was accompanied by the presence of a selection of Yamaha bikes on the catwalk. The new Sport Couture line of the Belgian designer is dedicated to the man who, after intense sports training, slips on his favorite biker jacket, jumps onto the seat of his bike and speeds off along the city’s streets, picking up fragments of everyday life as he goes. The footwear collection skillfully combine stylistic creativity with details “stolen” from the world of sport, just as the Yamaha MT does with its perfect fusion of style and cutting-edge technology.

Cutters have a high-performing oversize upper made of Lycra Malaga, while the band of quilted nubuck wraps around the structure sideways and ends in a slit of the rubber outsole. The Trailer line is interpreted by a futuristic sneaker with an oversize outsole and made with a patchwork of high-tech materials like laminated calf, stingray and punched leather, or light like mesh or suede. The Power family is also worth mentioning, the women’s line that is renewed by models embellished by the attention to materials: lasered crocodile leather and sheepskin lining.
