Damiano Marini was born in Rome in 1984. He studied economics before deciding to give up the field of “finance” to follow his innate passion for fashion, especially shoes. He started taking design courses and then worked as a freelance designer for some Italian footwear brands such as Casadei, before launching his personal project in March 2015 that bears his name.
Damiano Marini’s stylistic universe is characterised by a contemporary twist, dynamism and extreme femininity, which cleverly combines the excellence of the Italian footwear tradition with a sophisticated and ultramodern design. The composite aesthetics of each creation become a “creative pretext” for experimenting with unusual materials and colours, through the use of laminated, mirrored or even embroidered leather. The attention to detail is almost obsessive and the real protagonists are the buckles or straps which add character and uniqueness to each model.
