Another luxury holding company, this time from America, makes acquisitions in Italy, with the target represented by the Alberto Gozzi shoe company owned and operated by the Gozzi family since 1974 , which is known for its high-end productions for both its own label and for many of the world’s top luxury brands.
The factory of Alberto Gozzi will develop and produce Jimmy Choo and Versace shoes, before adding production of the Michael Kors Collection at a later point. The Alberto Gozzi private label will not be part of deal, as it is “being dismissed”.
“We are excited to welcome all of Gozzi’s talented craftsmen to the Capri Holdings Group – declared Chairman and Chief Executive of Capri John Idol – This acquisition allows us to further align with the industry’s best practices and to strengthen our technical competencies while cementing our position in the global luxury market”.
