aymod2In the stands of 400 exhibitors, with their more than 1,000 Turkish and international brands, names of the calibre of La Pinta, I Nuovo, Sekada, Darkwood, Ridge, Sayiner, Bueno and Molyer proposed their products. A high quality selection spread across a 60-thousand-square-metre exhibition area that – as confirmed by the organisers –significantly contributes to Turkish exports, which arrived at a value of 734 million dollars in 2017. A total of 20,000 visitors were recorded, including shoe shops, chain stores, wholesalers, and retailers, with 1500 international visitors coming from eighty countries, with the best performances registered by Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Algiers, Romania, and Saudi Arabia…

The outcome of the event dedicated to the Fall/Winter 2018-19 was dynamic and lively: the stands with the greatest number of visitors were those with a focus on exports, but business opportunities abounded for all concerned, supported also by the Istanbul Exporters’ Associations promotional programme, which brought delegations of buyers coming from 52 different nations to the fair.

Among the contents of the fair, besides the usual trend area, great interest was also shown in the area dedicated to young footwear artisans, who assembled traditional Turkish shoes by hand for visitors. Instead, brand new to this edition was the debut of the VIP area that was extremely popular among visitors and the international press, who had the opportunity to relax and network, while enjoying the very best Turkish coffee. aymod-3
