Launched with the claim “Stand with the sun”, the limited edition colours three sneaker models in bright red, orange, and sunflower yellow: the Asics Gel-Quantum 360, Asics Gel-Mai and Onsitsuka Tiger Corsair, as part of a colourful proposal that transmits joy and the positive vision of Kihachiro Onitsuka’s life, as well as his love for the works of Vincent Van Gogh.asics-gel-mai

Born on 29 May 1918, Onitsuka passed away on 29 September 2007, leaving behind an important legacy to the world of sports footwear, while orienting the mission of the Asics group towards research on health and happiness, in both body and mind. Onitsuka had previously declared that “children are like sunflowers, sports and water give them life. The sun, a brilliant future”: in perfect harmony with his belief, the commemorative collection is connected to a charitable benefit that will destine 10 thousand dollars per pair sold to Right to Play, the association dedicated to improving the lives of children in the most impoverished areas of the world, with the aim of giving Lebanese children the chance to play sports.

The collection, on sale in the online stores of Asics also includes a short-sleeved T-shirt and jersey pants that feature a logo in the shape of a golden sunflower.
