From Durban to Tunis, and from Addis Ababa to Dakar, the streets of Africa appear as a constant source of inspiration in fashion design, stirring up a compelling mix of emotions. For this reason, the spotlights of the next edition of Who’s Next/Première Classe will be pointed at the African Continent and the creative genius of its streets with the new project Africa Street: a sacred itinerary, where creations with explosive colors and extremely bold motifs come to life, where from one moment to the next codes and fashions are turned upside down and reinvented. In perpetual, spontaneous, and proudly lyrical motion, Africa Street fashion is a way to celebrate new and modern African identities, and the efforts and expertise of creative talents coming from all four corners of the African continent.

Africa Street embodies the same spirit of young Africans: a new generation, proud of its roots, which nevertheless is not afraid to seize upon influences coming from around the world. With their ancestral culture and hyper-connected spirit, their feet anchored to their native territory, while their heads are full of innovation, young African designers adopt and reinterpret with enthusiasm and make the codes of the United States, Asia, the Caribbean, and Europe their very own, inventing new stylistic codes.
