Vapesol Academy, an initiative that is the brainchild of the human resources department of the Portuguese company specialised in the production of injected soles, for the very first time promotes “Free your mind”, the design contest presented to the students of the Felgueiras professional schools, the Sao Joao da Madeira and Felgueiras hubs of the Professional Training Centre for the Footwear Industry and the Cavado e Ave polytechnic school. The young designers have been asked to create footwear prototypes using the soles of the Vapesol collection, which will then be submitted to a jury made up by a representative of the company, a Portuguese fashion designer, and a member of Apiccaps, the Portuguese Footwear, Components, and Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association.

The winners will be hosted for three days at Lineapelle, in Milan, while the first-place winner will also receive a check for 1,000 euros. Additionally, the shoe prototypes of the winners will be displayed at Vapesol’s stand at the fair.

The presentation of the prototypes along with the inaugural ceremony will be held at the Casa des Artes in Felgueiras on 17 July.
