The new Repli brand doesn’t want to have to choose so it’s invented a new line than offers a classy blend

R.G.E. was one of the first Italian firms to manufacture and market mules and sandals in PVC for the sauna, pool, beach and leisure. Founded in 1970 it now has a staff of 30 in the production of articles which, after many years of research and study, use a special ultra light foamed PVC mixture (average output is of 15,000pairs of soles and sandals per day). Although this type of production continues with great success, Francesco Conocciholi has decided to launch into a new venture, showing all the same passion and entrepreneurial creativity of his father Rino, who was the founder of the firm. So, hence the advent of the project and the brand Repli, characterized by a blend of style and design and, above all, PVC with leather (in various coordinated colour versions) and personalized trimmings.

The particular idea, that many people find interesting

explains Francesco Conocciholi

was to create elegant and diverse uppers of boots built onto the structure of our classical ballerina in PVC. The result is very popular, especially on the US, Japanese and East European market

The project, achieved in collaboration with designer Gianluca Pollastrelli, has required substantial investment in research, above all as regards the machines which make fine seaming of great class between the different materials used.

Our objective is not to arrive at large scale production but to create a collection that is beautiful, original and well made. I would also like to point out that the products are entirely made in Italy but also of zero milage, because we work only with firms and suppliers in our area
