The Belgian A.F.Vandevorst brand was founded in 1997. But the two founders of the brand have known each other for 10 years, when they were both students at the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, as well as life partners.
Throughout two decades, An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx, have put all their expressive force to the test, mixing poetry with an imposing and spectacular style.

“Yes, but today we want to focus on footwear and accessories. That’s where our real strength lies. It is what we do best and what we love to do more than anything else.”

What inspires you?
“The aesthetic of the brand comes from our love for visual arts, music, literature and our interest in cultural archetypes and uniforms.”

The most important markets?
“Currently, Benelux and Russia”.

Why did you participate in the last edition of White in Milano?
“Because we believe that Italy is a market with enormous potential for our brand. That’s why we decided to present our next summer collection in Milan”.
