Born and raised in Brazil, at the age of 18 Chie Mihara moved to Japan, where she studied fashion design and where she started working as model designer and design assistant of Junko Koshino. At age 22, it’s time for her to go to New York to study sculpture … soon, however, nostalgia for fashion sets in and this leads therefore to the brilliant idea of mixing the two worlds, creating a shoe collection. She enrolls at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York to study accessories design and manufactures by hand more than 90 pairs of  shoes: “I had discovered my passion!”.

Her very personal style, which does not consider trends, arises from a continuous experimentation of forms, from playing by fun with colours and concepts. Without forgetting comfort. At MICAM she presented the autumn/ winter collection 2019-20, in which numerous proposals of ankle boots stand out, from the most colourful and ironic ones to versatile and evergreen models: leather ankle boots with side buckle and medium heel, patchwork leather ankle or soft leather boots.
