IFEMA has chosen Charo Izquierdo as the new director of fashion and beauty fairs and events organised by Feria de Madrid throughout the year. Izquierdo, Manager of Mercedes – Benz Fashion Week Madrid, accordingly succeeds Jaime de la Figuera, the director of fashion and beauty events at IFEMA since 2015, who will henceforth be the organisation’s International Expansion Manager.

Charo Izquierdo, after a long, prestigious career in the communication, fashion and beauty sectors, will now be managing MBFWMadrid and MBFWIbiza, and all trade events organised for this sector and sponsored by IFEMA, starting with MOMAD Shoes – the International Footwear and Accessories Trade Show, and MOMAD Metrópolis – the International Fashion Trade Show.

With more than a dozen leading trade fairs in fashion and trend-related sectors, IFEMA is Spain’s leading Fashion and Beauty event organiser. Moreover, the Institution is moving forward with a management team reshuffle, which includes the appointment of Charo Izquierdo, with the aim of strengthening its position and increasing its level of specialisation in the different sectors in which it operates.

Even the new role entrusted to Jaime de la Figuera is one of the strategic goals set by IFEMA, which aims to launch new products abroad, along with specialised management and consultancy and advisory services outside Spain, also through collaborations with other operators in different countries.
