The idea of bringing different creative talents together, who, however are all united by their love for nature, was that of Pop Up Studio, the spin-off of the Marches festival dedicated to Contemporary Art in an urban context. Thus, the originafiorangelol designs and graphics of Gola Hundun inspired the Fiorangelo team in giving life to a footwear collection characterised by the graphic theme of ferns and branches used to decorate the bows of pumps, flats, and ankle boots. These same features are also present in the embroideries enriching the upper and the “tattooed” tone-on-tone graphics that convey new life to the urban casual footwear of the Fiorangelo City Mood capsule collection.

The project was financed by the European Structural and Investment Fund for the Regional Development of the Marches, with the intention of starting up creative collaborations between manufacturers and contemporary art. “Ferns” is a perfect example of how the combination of art and industry can create advantageous partnerships with important business results. Great interest was in fact shown in the collections at the last edition of Micam: “The reaction of international clientele was very positive – was the comment of Riccardo Cesetti, owner of Calzaturificio Fiorangelo together with his sister Claudia –  The innovations introduced were well-received and appreciated”.
