The fair of leather, components and machinery for the footwear and leather goods industry, which took place in Elche, Alicante, Spain, last Oct. 5-6, ended on a more than positive note. Thus, visitors and exhibitors were satisfied with the final result of the event, despite initial expectations and taking into account the international situation, energy costs and inflation. There was no shortage of international turnout, although the event mainly attracted many small and medium-sized local companies which have the possibilities to visiting here the entire industry. Footwear and leather goods machinery, as well as components, attracted a great deal of interest, rounding out the event's offerings, and special attention was paid to sustainability, with the Green Planet space being one of the busiest areas, both in terms of visitors and exhibitors, with more than a hundred companies participating.

"Exhibitors said they were satisfied with the outcome of the event," affirmed FUTURMODA President, José Antonio Ibarra, "both those in the leather sector, than those  in machinery and components. They received many visits from their  customers, but also from new visitors interested in discovering new trends to finalize their collections. Now it is more essential than ever to sign an agreement between the government and the components and footwear industry to continue creating jobs and keep the prestige of the Made in Spain brand high."
