Driven since it was first founded in 1966 by the desire to promote freedom and creative expression in all of its many forms, Vans wanted to donate, in tribute to Pride 2021, a total of 200,000 dollars to the GLSEN, Casa 1, Where Love is Illegal and Tokyo Rainbow Pride organisations. On the occasion, the skater brand also launched Vans Pride, a collection of shoes and apparel created to promote a more equal and inclusive society. The Vans Classic models accordingly reinterpret the iconic rainbow checkerboard pattern through repeat print executions, all-over patterns, and mixed material patchwork applications.
