The flag of Pitti Bimbo flutters in the breeze of an event that has known how to evolve. Starting from the wardrobe, it has expanded to touch on lifestyle and accessories, while renewing with each new season the offering ranging from designer labels to experimental brands thanks to attentive scouting. An event that has confirmed itself to be the most international of all the Pitti Immagine shows: also at this edition, out of the 543 collections on show, a good 356 will be from abroad, accounting for 65% of the offering.
As far as the exhibition route is concerned, the Top Floor of the Main Pavilion returns as the main hub for creativity, hosting The Kid’s Lab! with the experimental collections of KidzFIZZ,  those of Ecoethic, the incubator of micro realities striving to grow represented by The Nest, and Kid’s Evolution, with the Mini Me collections designed by leading stylists from the world of adult fashion. Always in the Main Pavilion, the Pitti Bimbo section returns with its leading brands and designer labels of childrenswear. Next to it, is Fancy Room with its accessories and furnishings and the special selection of the Editorials dedicated to the theme of nutrition and Teddy Bear. The route continues with Apartment and its collections with a sartorial vocation, the dynamism of Sport Generation and the urban spirit of SuperStreet. Deserving its own special mention is The Extraordinary Library, the project organised in collaboration with the Bologna Children’s Book Fair of illustrations and p
ublishing, which will propose a selection of books inspired by the concept of the flag.
Many events and special projects will be presented at this edition, starting from the debut of United Colors of Benetton with its 65 Benetton Street collection designed by Jean-Charles Castelbajac, which will also be the protagonist of a runway show. There will then be the fashion shows of Pitti Immagine Apartment and KidzFIZZ, the one of Children’s Fashion From Spain and, at the Stazione Leopolda, the Monnalisa fashion show.
Two exhibitions will also be featured at this edition: Playground by James Molison will reveal the dynamics of children’s play and socialization in the world’s playing fields, while 5 Senses by Holigans magazine will stimulate the five senses through original creations devised by brands at the fair. Among the special projects, The Playful Living colab platform will present a Kids Multibrand Concept Store, a made-to-measure area for 4.0 consumers, which will also host talks and meetings.
Finally,  Pitti Immagine, with the contribution of MISE and the ICE Agency, has organised a programme of incoming top buyers with a focus on the most international and experimental shops, department stores of reference, and online stores, with special attention reserved for certain countries like Russia, the USA, the Middle East, and the Far East (China, South Korea, and Japan). Although 10 thousand visitors are expected to attend the next edition, hopes are not exactly high for the turnout of Italian buyers, because of the continuing stagnation in the domestic market.
