super-9The Show organized by Pitti Immagine and dedicated to women’s accessories and prêt-à-porter confirmed with its ninth edition, which ended this past February, the desire to reward the culture of innovation, by discovering new worlds of accessories through attentive international scouting.  Held in the new location of The Mall in Porta Nuova, Milan, Super in fact hosted 144 womenswear brands, including emerging brands, young Italian fashion designers, and foreign talents, which were proposed alongside established Italian and foreign brands.

In terms of visitors, Super was a catalyst in attracting more than 5000 members of the trade, of which 20 percent were foreign coming from around 50 different countries worldwide.  At the head of the classification were buyers coming in particular from Germany, China, Spain, France, Switzerland, Belgium, South Korea, United Kingdom, Russia, Austria, United States, Greece, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Buyers and sector operators were also highly appreciative of the special areas, starting with ‘Super Talents’, which were 10 this year, coming from emerging scenarios such as Thailand, China, Portugal, and Russia.  However, just as important was the project ‘More dash: eye on the East’, dedicated to young cutting-edge brands from Eastern Europe, and the special participations, like the one dedicated to accessories and staged by Kartell in collaboration with Paula Cademartori and N°21.

Based on these results and numbers, the challenge is launched for the next edition, which will once again be held at Milan’s The Mall from 23 to 25 September 2017.
