This is a very special edition of the YOUTE Festival, which will be held soon, from May 29th to June 1st. It celebrates ten years in 2026, celebrating the continuity and valorization of the region and its manufacturing, consolidating itself as an event featuring craftsmanship, fashion, businesses and industry, as well as culture and innovation.

With the motto “Caravaca, capital of jute and fashion with a soul”, this new edition aims to enhance not only the tradition of alpargata footwear and jute, but also the ability of Spanish companies to evolve, innovate and connect with new international markets. This is why YOUTE talks about identity, but also about the future.

Antonio Hidalgo – presenter, artist and showman – will be the Ambassador of the Jute of Caravaca 2026, thus giving even greater visibility to a product and a tradition that are part of the identity of the territory.

Furthermore, the Festival will be enriched on June 1st and 2nd with a rich agenda of B2B meetings with buyers, retailers, and the international press, particularly from Mexico, Colombia, the UK, Finland, Portugal, and the EEUU, which will discuss key topics such as tradition, authenticity, traceability, the PGI Caravaca Jute, innovation, technology centers, and artificial intelligence. The professional program includes a day on the value of origin in current fashion, an international roundtable on how to adapt the industry to current brand needs, B2B meetings and factory visits, and a second day focused on AI and competitiveness in footwear and fashion.

This 2026 edition aims, therefore, not only to celebrate the tradition of an area but to offer alpargata and jute footwear from a contemporary perspective and an international projection.
