At the next edition of MICAM Milano, Spain will once again be among the leading protagonists of the fashion scene with the presentation of 22 new collections for the spring-summer 2022, representing eighty-five brands. Despite all the difficulties, Spanish companies will return in-person, demonstrating to operators in the footwear industry the expression of a know-how with a lengthy tradition behind it, which has always been oriented towards innovation, creativity, and respect for the environment. During a historic moment as delicate as the one we are currently experiencing because of the pandemic, MICAM represents the ideal opportunity for the restart of the sector and a perfect meeting place between brands of Spanish footwear and buyers coming from around the world. Spain, from its end, has shown itself to have a great spirit of resilience and the ability to react, as can be seen by the latest data regarding its exports, which give encouraging signs of recovery. During the first half of the year, in fact, Spain exported a value of 1,226 billion euros, which is only 10% less than the same period in 2019 (before the pandemic). This confirms the trust that retailers and buyers have always placed in Made in Spain, in a virtuous circle that sees companies and distribution working side-by-side for post-Covid economic recovery.
