messe_frankfurt_halleIn the general context of renewal that is characterizing the international footwear trade fair calendar, with some events closing once and for all and others moving their show dates around, a new project known as Primetime.shoes makes its debut.

The fair with which Messe Frankfurt Exhibition enters into contact for the first time with the world of footwear will have an innovative concept that features earlier show dates and the strategically central European location of Frankfurt:

Frankfurt has an extremely antique trade fair tradition going back to 1150 –explains Stephan Kurzawski, Senior Vice President of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition – and today we annually organize 134 international shows with a turnover of 646.7 million euros and 1.6 million visitors. With Primetime.shoes we are coming into contact for the first time with a sector where we do not have any specific expertise, but we believe in the project, the dates, and the concept.

Explaining more in detail the contents of the event is Yan Belyaev, from the Russian magazine Shoesreport, which is partner to the organization:

Our focus is on five different key factors:  the dates from 27 to 29 January and from 27 to 29 July, which will permit buyers to begin working ahead of time with the new collections.  The location of Frankfurt with its strategic position in the middle of Europe and its infrastructures.  The exhibition itself, with national pavilions divided according to product type, a complementary catering service to welcome everyone, and greater integration between businesses and the professional press.  Special arrangements with hotels and transfers from the airport to the show and lodgings.  A special programme for buyers with the organization of flights from Russia, Ukraine, and other countries from Eastern Europe.
