The debut of the SS26 Apparel collection marks the beginning of a new chapter in Premiata’s growth journey, bringing its historic contemporary identity into the digital landscape. This initiative allows the brand to extend its narrative beyond the footwear sector, its iconic core category. The goal is to enhance the strategic relevance of apparel by creating an ecosystem that blends commercial and editorial elements, specifically designed to combine product desirability, content depth, and user experience.

“This project stems from our desire to build a digital language capable of authentically representing Premiata’s evolution. We envisioned an experience where content, aesthetics, and technology work together to highlight the product and strengthen our relationship with our community, while always keeping the brand’s identity at the center,” commented Carlotta Mazza, Co-Owner & Chief Operating Officer.

To support this important transition, Drop + Playground (the Horsa Group’s Commerce & Experience Hub) designed and built an innovative launch platform that combines brand storytelling, an immersive user experience (UX), and state-of-the-art technology. The result is a truly proprietary format, designed to evolve and progress over time, season after season.

The creative concept “Urban Proof”

The foundation of the entire project rests on “Urban Proof,” the creative concept developed by Playground based on a study of trends and new lifestyles in the contemporary fashion sector. The analysis shows that today’s urban clothing is no longer chosen based on rigid seasonal categories or isolated events. On the contrary, it adapts to a fluid and ever-changing daily life that flows seamlessly from the workplace to leisure time, from morning through night.

The narrative of the new clothing line revolves precisely around this interpretation of reality, offering versatile pieces that blend seamlessly into the urban landscape. This core principle has influenced every phase of the design process: the aesthetic direction, the editorial tone of voice, the selection of the cast, the choice of locations for the photo shoots, and the very architecture of the user experience page, structured precisely as a point of contact between the brand’s story and the act of purchasing.

Digital integration and hybrid content production

The system is natively integrated into Premiata’s e-commerce channel. The platform guides users as they explore clothing items by combining images from the advertising campaign, editorial text, and direct links to catalog product pages.

From an engineering perspective, Drop developed the platform using a headless architecture. This approach ensures immediate page loading responsiveness, high operational flexibility, and scalability over time. The software architecture communicates directly with Shopify systems and the Strapi interface via dedicated APIs. This configuration offers the brand maximum independence in managing editorial content and updating seasonal catalogs, while maintaining a continuous link between the brand’s narrative and sales dynamics.

Through the creation of this ecosystem, Drop + Playground demonstrate the effectiveness of an integrated working model. Within this vision, creative flair, editorial care, and IT solutions operate as a single design entity. This synergy transforms the presentation of a collection into a truly evolving digital experience, tailored to the needs of contemporary fashion brands.
