There will be 950 exhibitors, from 40 different countries, who will give life to the jubilee edition of the OutDoor fair. This very important international event will gather in Friedrichshafen the over 20 thousand expected visitors who will be able to appreciate, as usual, the many products dedicated to the OutDoor world: from clothing to footwear, passing through backpacks, sleeping bags, tents and camping equipment and climbing. Many new and innovative proposals will occupy the entire exhibition structure on Lake Constance for a total of 85.000 square metres.

‛Retail First Initiative’ is among the new initiatives put in place by the organisers to make the 25th edition even better. Retailers and buyers will benefit of some discounts such as free entry cards to the fair and an advantage over others in booking the hotel in the nearby town of Eriba.

The popular OutDoor Plus area, instead, refreshed its look and will take a glance at the proposals concerning Lifestyle, HangOut, Water Sports and Running (which even this year will be one of the main themes the fair will focus on).

Finally, within the OutDoor Conference schedule there will be many informative and training opportunities in which will be presented trends and issues concerning the sector: fashion and colours in outdoor clothing, the digitalization of fashion, decision making in the act of purchase and sustainability in the production of fabrics…

In 2019 the OutDoor fair will be held in Munich.
For Friedrichshafen the “Show must go on”.

OD_logoThe 25th OutDoor edition will be the last one to be held in Friedrichshafen. The members of the European Outdoor Group, the association which owns the fair, have in fact decreed that starting from 2019 the event will be based in Munich at the Messe München exhibition centre, which already hosts ISPO, the other important event dedicated to the world of sports.

But Friedrichshafen will not run short. The fair’s leaders have already declared that they will give life to a new event that has already received the approval and support of important brands. “We learned with great disappointment about the results of the vote. After all, OutDoor was born on Lake Constance where it also built its success. We have written a unique chapter in the history of the sector and we will not stop”, emphasized Klaus Wellmann, Managing Director of Messe Friedrichshafen.

John Jansen, president of EOG, commented on the decision: “We sadly change home and are grateful to Friedrichshafen for the work done in all these years, but we can not wait to look ahead and think about the future”. OutDoor by ISPO will be held from 30 June to 3 July 2019.
