One hundred and nine Spanish exhibitors, representing no less than 133 brands, are taking part in the 98th edition of the MICAM fair at the Milano-Rho exhibition centre in Milan, where they are presenting their summer collections for 2025. This is the same number of companies that participated in the fair a year ago, once again positioning Spain as the second largest country in terms of number of exhibitors at the show. This is therefore a confirmation of the strategic importance of Micam for Spanish footwear companies to expand their international presence, increase sales, get to know the latest trends and strengthen their brand image and Made in Spain craftsmanship.
Spain, should we be reminded, offers a wide variety of footwear styles, covering all segments of the market – from trendy to urban, from premium to designer collections, from trainers to espadrilles, from children’s products to vegan and sustainable ones and many more. At the same time, Spanish footwear has been able, over time, to develop and gain international appreciation for a unique personality, characterised by high quality, innovation and design content, craftsmanship and sustainability of products and processes.
It is no coincidence that Spanish footwear exports in the first five months of 2024 reached 75.4 million pairs and 1,453 million euros, an increase of 7.7% in pairs and 4.1% in value compared to the same period in 2023. Italy is the first buyer of Spanish footwear, with an increase of 20.6%. The appointment is therefore at Micam with all the cheerfulness, style and quality of Shoes From Spain.
