MICAM Milano is the first trade fair to reopen after the Covid emergency and reconfirms its dates from 20 to 23 September offering companies, many of which find their only business opportunity at the fair, an important moment of recovery. The numbers and volume of the fair are of course reduced compared to previous editions: “We are aware that it can never be as the great event it has always been, – says MICAMs CEO Tommaso Cancellara in an open letter on the MICAM website – but the exhibiting companies and buyers have asked us to organise it and if they are ready to get involved in order not to miss the season, we cannot remain indifferent”.

For now, we received adhesions of over 500 companies, but many others are in the process of being defined. As for the contents of the event, MICAM focuses on three assets. First and foremost safety: the plan drawn up with Fiera Milano and the Conference of the Regions guarantees everyone to be able to work securly. Between appropriate sanitisation measures, controls and specific desks on the safety theme, the supervision on this front is absolute. The second point concerns sustainability, a theme to which an entire section of the event is dedicated as part of The Garden, the area launched during the February edition. Finally, digitalisation: alongside the physical show, there is MICAMs Milano Digital Show debut, in partnership with the digital platform of NuORDER which already has over 500 thousand retailers from all over the world.

Finally, MICAM reconfirms its special areas: MICAM X, a laboratory of ideas dedicated to innovation divided into four themes: Future Retail, Sustainability, Trends and Materials, Heritage & Future, and Emerging Designer, the hotbed of new talents on the international footwear scene.

Among the sections of the event, iKids, the area dedicated to childrens footwear is also reconfirmed with the best brands of the sector.
