After the first edition in September, which saw 154 brands and over 53 thousand products presented with the participation of 2,500 buyers, MICAM Milano gets ready to return to a digital format that will continue for two months, from 8 March to 8 May, with a concreate proposal capable of guaranteeing the high standards of business of this international event.
Protagonists on the MICAM Milano Digital Show platform will be the Fall-Winter 21/22 collections together with the dedicated contents of MICAMX, the laboratory dedicated to innovation and cutting-edge proposals for the footwear industry.
A unique marketplace where exhibitors and buyers can interact easily and effectively: buyers will be able to browse different product groups, ask to be connected with the brand, choose between linesheets and product catalogues, and personalise and finalise orders directly on the platform. On the other hand, exhibitors will have privileged access to MICAM Milano’s worldwide community and can take advantage of its promotion channels to acquire new contacts, invite clients directly to the platform and use the most advanced digital management tools to customise their products.
That’s not all: the MICAMX series of virtual events, meetings, and workshops will complete the MICAM Milano offering by looking to the future of the sector and enabling all those involved in the supply chain to share their know-how, with a special focus on the themes of sustainability, new materials, and sector trends.
Making the platform easier to use with enhanced contents will accordingly be the two key strengths of the event which, as confirmed by Siro Badon, President of MICAM and Assocalzaturifici, “has rapidly become a virtual meeting place for the world’s footwear community. The pandemic has in actual fact helped to accelerate digitalisation in our industry and update the way we do business”. While all the know-how and business of MICAM will go online, steps are already being taken towards a future physical edition as Siro Badon confirms: “In fact, we are already working on a new, traditional edition of MICAM, to be held from 19 to 21 September, an event that has always represented the best of Made in Italy proudly and vigorously, and which I am confident will mark the rebirth and restart of the footwear industry worldwide”.
