La Sportiva, a world leading Trentino based company in the footwear and outdoor clothing sector, continues its journey towards eco-sustainability with solutions, materials and certifications designed to minimise the environmental impact of its products.
In fact, the entry as a new member into the international non-profit organisation 1% For the Planet, inside which members contribute by allocating at least 1% of their annual turnover to projects and environmental causes, is official.
It is a great achievement for our company – declares its CEO and Chairman Lorenzo Delladio – which has always been paying the utmost attention towards the environment in which it operates. ISO environmental certifications, the goal we set ourselves to constantly reduce CO2 emissions in the production plant that we have between the Dolomites, Unesco heritage in Val di Fiemme, the social-environmental certification of the Bluesign supply chain, the numerous collaborations with pro-environment associations including EOCA (to which we have destined 20% of the revenues of last Black Friday) and also the recycling of at least 60% of the processing waste in our production processes are proof of this.
The company’s commitment continues within product innovations: the new Ski-Tour clothing line sees the launch of garments made totally or partially with fabrics and paddings obtained from the reuse of recycled and RePET® certified polyester.
