Italian e-commerce ends 2020 with a growth in exports equal to +37%. This is confirmed by the study conducted by Qaplà, an integrated solutions platform for managing the shipments of realities that sell online. Emerging from this study was a +64% increase in shipments to the USA, +57% rise in exports to the UK despite the increasing pressure created by the new tariff regime resulting from Brexit, +50% to Germany, +30% to Spain, and +18% to France. The sectors with the best performance were electronics (+200%), jewellery (+77.9%), and fashion (+50%) followed by Wine&Beverage (49.5%).  Digital exports, estimated at a value of 11.8 billion euros in 2019, were key in contributing to the growth of many small and medium-sized Italian companies, reinforcing their online presence during the months of pandemic and increasing sales not only in Italy, but also abroad.
