Personally curated by Giorgio Armani, the Accents of Style exhibition is a retrospective of footwear, bags, and jewellery next to screenings of fashion editorials and advertising campaigns, with an exhibition path that unfolds starting from Ethnic and Animal Prints, passing through Metropolis and Neoclassical, to then end in Two-Tone and Colour Block, Nighttime and Shimmers of Light. “I like the idea of exceeding my limits, pushing myself forward, while always tackling new challenges. So, I continue to experiment and have fun while doing so”, declared King Giorgio to the press, explaining how he first approached the world of accessories in the Eighties and how he developed them by starting from the concept of the jewel-object.

The exhibition tells of the aesthetic evolution and innovations applied by Armani to accessories over time, from flats, which Armani was the first to match with an evening dress, to sling-backs and iconic pumps caught between design and art. There are then Plissé bags and clutches, the quintessence of the Armani style, brooches shaped like insects and necklaces embellished by textile fabrics… a universe that speaks of both the sophisticated and well-balanced look of the brand at the same time.
