Inspired by the mysterious fascination of the geisha this new winter collection from British designer Angeline Lee

Increasing international visibility for the Angeline Lee brand, that is expanding to Asian markets through Hong Kong and thanks also to the response of prestigious retailers such as Harvey Nichols and Lane Crawford.

The new Winter collection from this young British designer, a graduate of the London Royal College of Art and considered one of the most promising in the sector, is inspired by the fascination of the geisha and, in particular, a detail on the back of the neck which the Japanese consider to be one of the most erotic parts of the body:

while the face and neck are painted white, on special occasions on  the back of the neck skin is left natural in the form of the letter W, a mysterious symbol that breaks the uniform pure white makeup with a touch of sensuality.

This is the starting point for a series of intriguing models that deliberately play on seductive materials like lace, reptile prints, pony and fur.

The boots with high legs are sculptural but short ones and pumps have slimmer lines, with towering fine heels, some with small platforms.

Colours are important: focus is on a variety of dark reds, flashes of neon green and gold.

Details are fundamental: the clever cut of uppers, fur edging, straps that enhance the ankle.
