Already today with the initiative Parley for the Oceans, Adidas has arrived at the extraordinary result of over 11 million pairs of shoes made using plastic recovered from the beach. In 2020, it forecasts that it will produce between 15 – 20 million pairs.
Although the cost of recycled polyester is higher by 10% compared to traditional polyester, Adidas confirms its commitment and is sure that it will succeed in lowering its prices to encourage the use of green materials.
While the Parley for the Oceans continues to make progress, Adidas will soon also launch Primeblue fabric made from waste coming from the oceans that will be implemented in the already existing lines.
