“We really need face-to-face contact!”, says convinced Ulrike Kähler, Project Manager and CEO of Igedo Company. And indeed the sector surveys show that, beyond the various digital appointments, it remains essential for companies and buyers to be able to see the new collections in person, to be able to touch the products and personally interact with the operators of the sector in order to strengthen work relationships and friendship. It is in this context that Gallery Shoes Fashion & Shoes and Shoowroom Concept acquire a particular meaning, the first trade fair appointments of the sector to take place in person after the lockdown and a unique opportunity to finalise summer orders and winter refreshments for the German and international market . Also for this special edition, the Igedo Company offers an excellent portfolio of exhibiting companies and a rich programme of collateral events, including, for the first time, the DMI FASHION DAY LIVE, which will take place simultaneously in the spaces of Areal Böhler.
To ensure maximum safety and the proposal of a relaxed and efficient working environment, online registration will be mandatory and visitors will enter the rooms directly, without a central entrance. In addition, all the following events of the programme will take place in the “Altes Kesselhaus”: over two afternoons, the DMI FASHION DAY LIVE by the German Fashion Institute; TW Order-Info with the trends for spring/summer 2021; the HDS/L and BDSE press conference on the situation of the manufacturing and retail sectors; the Fashion Trend Pool with precious inspirations for autumn/winter 2021/22 and the Season’s Best for summer 2021.
Among the events to report we also remember the presentation of the BORISBECKER total look collection during the SHOWROOM CONCEPT of the Gallery FASHION & SHOES, Friday 28 August at the “Kaltstahlhalle”, where the same Boris Becker will be present as testimonial at stand E11.
As for the organisation of the products exhibits, visitors will find CONTEMPORARY and URBAN footwear, as well as accessories at the “Alte Schmiedehallen”. With a mix of 32 footwear and fashion brands, the “Halle am Wasserturm” will be connected to the “Kaltstahlhalle”, extended by 1,500 m, which will host PREMIUM, AVANTGARDE and DESIGN footwear, as well as the SHOWROOM CONCEPT.
“It is important for everyone that things start rolling again and that we get back to normal, it is vital for both exhibitors and buyers. More than ever at this moment it is therefore essential to make fresh and new inspirations available to the sector for the next collections and this is what we want to offer through a balanced mix of footwear, fashion and accessories”- says director Ulrike Kähler.
