More than one year after the start of the pandemic, the authorities of the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil have not yet come to the decision to allow a physical organsiation of the event. For this reason Francal Ablac Show, the international exhibition of footwear, fashion accessories, machinery and components held at the Expo Center Norte of the Brazilian city, has decided to postpone the dates of its 52nd edition to next year.
At the end of July, a test event, with a limited audience and strict security protocols, will be held to verify the feasibility of organising events with a large number of participants. The observation will be tested over two weeks and in case of positive result, the authorities will allow the resumption of trade fairs.
Little space and too much uncertainty to guarantee the organisation of a complex event like the one of Francal: “That’s why we decided in advance to postpone the dates, originally scheduled from 11 to 13 August 2021, to 22-24 August 2022 – comments Abdala Jamil Abdala, president of Francal Feiras – We are aware of the importance of Francal for the entire footwear and leather goods industry, and we are sure that in 2022 the fair will be able to take place in a safe, favourable and strategic environment for business development”.
