Managed by the non-profit organization Cometa, the new store will be located in one of the top areas for shopping in Como – just a few metres from the Duomo – offering a choice range of accessories and footwear from previous seasons and from all of Inditex’s brands at reduced prices. It is the first store in Italy to be opened as part of the “for&from” programme, which boasts 14 other stores in Spain, offering more than 200 jobs for people with disabilities.
The Como store extends across a surface area of 270 m² distributed over three floors, in a typical Lombardy palazzo, which is characterised by impeccable decor and an image that evokes the aesthetics of the 1920s.
This new space is also characterized by an elimination of barriers, with technical solutions employed to adapt the space to the range of different disabilities, such as with labelling using Braille and readable through shapes and colours, and furnishings and walkways adapted to customers with reduced mobility.
