Enda (“Go” in Swahili), the company born to design and manufacture the first running shoe made in Kenya, is coming. The society, which financed itself through a crowdfunding campaign with which it raised over 100,000 dollars, named the newborn shoe “Iten” after the iconic town in the Rift Valley where Kenyan runners are born. The profits will be partly reinvested to improve the distribution of drinking water, education and sanitation services in Kenya.
