The constant growth of footwear giant CCC (Cea Czyni Cuda) slows down because of the Coronavirus pandemic, forcing the company to pull out of the contract that sponsors the CCC Development Cycling Team.
Over the last ten years, the Polish company had more than tripled its revenue, passing from 230 million euros in 2010 to 900 million euros in 2019. The net profit recorded in the same period enjoyed an even better performance, passing from 26 million euros in 2010 to 120 million in 2019.
Today, the effects of the Coronavirus have had negative repercussions on the company, forcing it to stop its sponsorship of the CCC Development Team, also for a question of ethics: “We are now fighting for our business – comments Dariusz Milek, founder of the CCC brand – It would be immoral to reduce our number of employees while maintaining our sponsorship of the cycling team. We will provide details in the coming weeks. It will be painful, but necessary in this situation. Cyclists are not currently riding and will not be riding for a long time, so they will not achieve the marketing goals set for this sport project.”
