From 1 to 3 September, the fair in the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf presented the fashion previews for SS 2020 of around 600 brands, inaugurating new entrances with meeting points and catering areas, but also a new concept increasingly oriented towards the different segments and lifestyle, thus confirming it to be an essential event for business and information. The edition concluded with a substantial stable performance compared to the past, with professional visitors coming mainly from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

It is with a feeling of great expectation that Italian footwear manufacturers look to the up-and-coming trade fairs in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Russia, with La moda italiana in Almaty, La moda italiana in Kiev and Obuv mir Koži in Moscow, all areas that continue to be characterised by negative sales trends.

At the Luxury Summit organised by 24Ore Business School in Milan this past June, the speeches revolved around the impact of technological development on purchasing behaviour and new brand strategies, with a place of importance also reserved for the theme of sustainability, which is increasingly understood as a concept that regards the entire supply chain, and not just the company itself. 360° sustainability, which sees inclusivity (and especially disability) as an opportunity for growth in terms of public approval and economic return.
