Of course, safety is one of the main themes discussed by the most important fair of the sector, but there are also new topics and themes more and more requested by the labour market.

A+A is now in its 30th year. Having started its journey in 1954 as an event dedicated to “Occupational Health and Safety” A+A has since developed into a leading international meeting point for all topics relating to occupational health and safety.

Over 1,800 exhibitors and around 63 thousand visitors from 59 countries. These are the figures of the event that will occupy nine pavilions (this year sees the addition of pavilion 11) of the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre. The main thematic areas of the fair will be Safety, Occupational Health and Safety/Corporate Health, the latter of particular importance. One of the most important areas in terms of number of exhibitors is the area dedicated to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Around 900 exhibitors (including specialist footwear manufacturers) will offer their interpretation of one of the hottest topics: combining protection, functionality and fashion.

Even safety shoes are now hard to distinguish from a pair of trendy sneakers. They come in bright colours (from light blue to fluorescent green) and offer maximum lightless and comfort. South Korea is the partner country of the 2015 A+A, which is considered a leader in prevention for that part of the world and therefore a good potential customer for suppliers. The exhibition will consist of an intense program of international conferences also, including 60 events focusing on themes such as safety, health and ergonomics involving 5,500 participants.
