The exhibition, which is responsible for setting footwear trends worldwide, welcomed over 25 thousand professionals who are changing the future of the sector, while meeting the footwear needs of over 600 million people making up the population in Turkey and the neighbouring regions: Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq and Jordan.
The exhibition’s public was also international, both in terms of selection and in terms of visitors coming from countries like Italy, Israel, UAE, Poland, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, and Lebanon.
These are the numbers from Aymod, which confirms itself as the footwear manufacturing platform of reference in Italy and Europe, as well as a generator of potential trade opportunities in the field, which, according to the organisers’ estimates, translate into a billion-dollar business.
Among the events enlivening the exhibition were the T-Talks seminars that saw the participation of famous international designers, while the most highly appreciated speeches included that of Kobi Levi, the renowned shoe designer whose creations can even be found on the feet of stars like Lady Gaga.
In terms of sustainability and a circular economy, instead, much interest was shown in the footwear made of eco-friendly and recycled materials.
The next edition of Aymod will be held from 1 to 4 April 2020.
